Lauren, a Suzuki Parent

“As a music teacher who learnt the “traditional” way, I only discovered what the Suzuki Method was all about when I was at university. I thought then, “If I ever have kids, that’s how they’re going to learn the piano!” 15 years later, three of my children are learning Suzuki piano and I couldn’t be happier. The emphasise on creating a beautiful sound, paying attention to the details, performance (rather than exams), and ensemble playing all add up to developing well-rounded musicians. Not to mention the quality one-on-one time I spend with my children every day as, together, we embark on the journey of learning a musical instrument.”
